COURSE DESCRIPTION

This module has been created to provide a general overview of the concepts of sustainability in agriculture as well as the one of internationalization.


LESSON 4.2: ABOUT SUSTAINABILITY IN AGRICULTURE

This lesson has been created to provide a general overview on the concepts of sustainability in agriculture. It will provide an opportunity:

  • To articulate the key elements of definition of sustainability in the Agriculture sector
  • To reflect on the various issues such as:
    • Environmental entry key – ie, resources protection – soils, water, biodiversity
    • Economic entry key, ie, cost reduction by fertilizer reduction
    • Social entry key, ie farmer’s network, community approach of agriculture, digital maker posture
    • Cross sectorial approach, ie climate change, researches

At the end of the training, students will be able:

  1. To demonstrate understanding of the key elements to sustainability definition
  2. To consider the various option and become able to make relevant choices for oneself
  3. To articulate some processes such as:

               a)    protection of resources

               b)    resource seeking

LESSON 4.1: INTERNATIONALIZATION IN AGRICULTURE

This lesson has been created to provide a general overview on the concepts of internationalization in agriculture. It will provide an opportunity :

  • To reflect on the internationalization of Agriculture as a continuous historical process
  • To consider the different aspects of the internationalization processes in order to make conscious choices

At the end of the training, students will be able:

  1. To demonstrate understanding of internationalization concept
  2. To articulate some processes such as :

            a)    knowledge exploration

            b)    international leadership
